Digital Graduation Documents

We will issue your digital graduation documents, which we will send to your u:account via service desk. On all documents an electronic signature is included and can therefore be submitted to public authorities and other instututions as originals.

You will receive all graduation documents by email (i.e. you do not need to collect anly further documents):

  • Official notice of award of the academic degree
  • Degree transcript
  • Diploma Supplement

Final grade

In the course of the final examinations, the final grade "passed" or "passed with distinction" is awarded. "Passed with distinction" means that your grade point average is 1.50 or below.

Weighted grade point average

The grade average is printed on the Diploma Supplement as standard. The calculation is based on all individual course results relevant to the curriculum (not including any module grades that have already been weighted) that you are using to complete your degree.

Graduation ceremony (optional)

Once you have received your graduation documents, you have the option of marking the end of your studies with an academic graduation ceremony. You can find further information on the website of the conference and Event Management.

Please note: You will only be able to view the available dates for the graduation ceremony on u:space once you have received your electronic degree documents and these have become legally binding (4 weeks after receipt or following individual notification by you including the waiver of appeal). Only then will it be possible to register for the ceremony!
