Upcoming Event

OeNB Public Lecture

Money is one of the most important systems in our society – and one of the least understood. “The Future of Money” takes a step back to examine how our current monetary system actually works, why it is increasingly under strain, and what possible futures are now unfolding. Bringing together original research and key insights from the literature, the lecture explores how money is being reshaped by technological change, geopolitical dynamics, and shifting forms of trust—and what kind of monetary system may emerge from it.
